finding your eye in the storm
how to stay in your lane energetically
At the beginning of 2020 I was on a call with one of my mentors who said, “It’s imperative to keep your energetic field clear so that you can hear which way YOU are supposed to go. What your work is on the planet at this time.” The last 5 years on Earth have been a masterclass in what I call, “energetic Jedi-ship.”
It’s the Way when the collective noise is turned up and it’s increasingly becoming artificial. We don’t have to go far to see it, all we have to do is open our social media apps. If I watch three minutes of the news (because it’s on in a house I’m visiting) my body reacts multiple times. It’s not just what’s being said, it’s the hooks, the narratives, the subtle projections that slip into the nervous system like static.
And so the question becomes: how do we stay anchored, discerning, and clear in all of this? How do we keep our energetic fields clear enough to actually hear what our soul — and the unseen allies that surround us — are whispering?
This is where I’ve been playing with the idea of energetic Jedi-ship.
Yes, multidimensional Jedi. I love the sound of that.
Because here’s the thing: being human right now is not for the faint of heart. We are being asked to wield an inner-sword — to slice through the noise, the programming, the collective anxiety — so that we can stand rooted, present, available for what is ours to do.
And just as important: to let go of what is not ours to carry.
That’s part of the Jedi work too. Releasing responsibility for everyone else’s process. Trusting people with their pain. Refusing the role of energetic janitor for the collective. Instead, holding our vertical alignment, our inner sovereignty, while simultaneously practicing horizontal acceptance — compassion for the mess of being human, for the diversity of stories and perspectives that are always swirling around us.
I think of it like this:
Vertical Agency. Horizontal Acceptance.
Vertical agency is my yes to my soul, my unseen allies, my deeper knowing and devotion to the Earth. It’s the part of me that listens up, roots down, and takes clear aligned action without apology.
Horizontal acceptance is my willingness to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with humanity — with all its contradictions, shadows, projections, and wounds — without collapsing, fixing, or running away. It’s saying: I can be with you, and I can still be with me.
Both are required for true energetic Jedi-ship. One without the other either gets rigid (spiritual bypassing, control, disconnection) or blurry (martyrdom, codependence, overwhelm). But together, they create a field of clarity, strength, and compassion that is deeply needed right now.
Hooks. Narratives. Projections. They will keep coming. That’s just the gameboard we’re living on. The choice is: merge with the collective noise, or do we learn to hold our sword steady, staying open but not porous, present but not consumed?
This is the practice. This is the training. This is Jedi-ship.
Jedi Hygiene Tips
Here’s the thing: even Jedis shower. Energetically speaking, hygiene is not optional. It’s the daily tending that keeps us sharp, clear, and tuned to what really matters. Here are a few practices I come back to:
1. Cord-Cutting + Clearing.
Every day, especially after being online or in crowded spaces, imagine gently unplugging cords of energy that don’t belong to you. You don’t need to send daggers, just a simple: “I release what’s not mine with love.” Even one breath of intentional clearing can shift everything.
2. Grounding Rituals.
Bare feet on the earth. Hands on your belly. Breathing down into your hips. This roots the nervous system back into now, instead of spiraling into the chaos of the collective field.
3. Energetic Shielding (but not walls).
Visualize a light field or cloak around you that filters what comes in. It’s not about blocking the world out; it’s about letting in only what resonates with your highest good. Think: discernment, not defense.
4. Digital Discernment.
Jedi-ship doesn’t mean scrolling endlessly and calling it research. Curate your inputs. Limit the doomscroll. Notice who/what makes your body feel scrambled versus resourced — and choose wisely.
5. Daily Sword Practice.
Your inner-sword isn’t just metaphor. It’s the practice of saying no with clarity, and yes with power. Check in: what’s mine to carry today? What’s not? Slice away the rest.
6. Soul-Time Before Screen-Time.
Even if it’s two minutes, connect to your vertical channel — prayer, breath, intention — before you check your phone. Otherwise, the world will decide your frequency before you do.
These are small, simple things. But layered over time, they create the steadiness, the clarity, and the luminous presence that make true energetic Jedi-ship possible.
Here’s the thing: Jedi-ship isn’t about perfection. It’s about practice. It’s about catching ourselves in the moment we’re spiraling with the news or tangled in someone else’s projection — and choosing, again, to return to clarity.
So here’s my invitation:
✨ For the next seven days, try one Jedi hygiene practice each morning. Just one. Notice how it shifts your energy field, your clarity, your capacity to be with yourself and with others.
Then ask yourself:
What am I hearing more clearly when my field is tended to?
What choices become obvious when I’m rooted in vertical agency?
How does horizontal acceptance soften my relationships?
This is the real training ground. Not far away in a galaxy we can only imagine — but right here, in the messy, beautiful, chaotic terrain of Earth 2025.
Honored to be here with you at this time. Wow, what a time to be alive.
